Making the Fence Selection Easy

You may want to start by visiting our showroom and browse the various fence solutions we offer. Our indoor showroom lets you see the vast array of fencing products firsthand, and we’re available to answer your questions and share our expertise. We may start by guiding you in choosing the right types of fencing for your needs, and get you started with how to plan a fence.

Coming Up With a Fencing Plan

The key to a well-built fence is planning. It’s our intent to make fencing as simple as possible, and it all starts with a plan, to minimize surprises on the day of installation.

Planning is key because no two properties are alike. You may have a sloped property, or one with existing obstacles like trees, a pond, structures, or rock outcrops. If you take your time planning out your fence line and the exact position of fence posts—and we can help guide you in this—and you have all of the materials and tools you need on hand, then the actual installation is not difficult if you’re relatively handy and have a helper or two.

Making Fence Installation Easier

As far as the installation itself, it’s not difficult when you opt for ActiveYards fencing, but it does require some prep work like clearly marking the fence line on the ground, and marking the precise location of posts and gates. Once the post holes are marked, the next steps can entail digging the post holes, setting the posts, mixing and pouring concrete to set the posts, and then of course assembling the fence itself. How long this process takes depends on the complexity and the size of the project: It could take up to a weekend or more, but if you take your time and don’t cut any corners, your fence can look just as good as one that’s installed by the pros.

To simplify installation, our ActiveYards fences are modular systems. ActiveYards has taken fencing to a new level with click-together panels that make installation simple, whether you’re installing a vinyl privacy fence, a wood decorative fence, a chain link pet containment fence, a pool safety fence, or an aluminum security fence around your property.

ActiveYards fence panels are premade in our workshop; on the job site, they snap securely to the posts so that you will not have to worry about the painstaking process of leveling uneven boards, or adjusting for gaps between pickets. This goes for all of the ActiveYards fences we sell: wood, aluminum, and vinyl.

As long as the fence posts are installed correctly (and we can show you how), the process of snapping the fence panels to the posts can make for a very quick and relatively simple installation.

Installing your own fence can be a rewarding DIY project, but it does require some advance planning and prep work to ensure a great result. We’re here to help!
